Go to ksnf102.lan.ksu.edu:631/ipp to set up Novell iPrint.

1. Insert ZENworks CD and start up computer
2. At prompt, type "install"
3. Insert floppy with "settings.txt" when prompted
4. Remove both disks and reboot
5. Press "ctrl" on boot to bring up LILO prompt
6. Type "prompt" at the LILO prompt
7. If the lab doesn't use DHCP, make sure to edit "/sbin/settings.txt" and add the IP
8. Type "img" at the "bash#" prompt
9. Choose Reimage->Proxy Image and put in IP: 129.130.39.4 and location: \\ltnwsup00\zenimg\dev\img\biosecure5.zmg
10. Once imaging is complete, reboot
11. If "LI" shows up on the screen instead of the normal boot, reinsert CD, type "enable" at prompt, and reboot
12. Windows should boot to a Blue Screen of Death
13. Put a Windows 2000 CD in the drive and reboot, making sure to boot from the CD
14. Once prompted, choose "Repair" and then "Console" to get to the Recovery Console
15. At the prompt, type "chkdsk /p"
16. Reboot. Windows should boot normally.

1. Login as ucladmin on cet.core.k-state
2. Set the NIC line speed to 10/half or 100/full
3. Change IPX to 802.3
4. Set the IP (129.130.X.X)
5. Set the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0*
6. Set the gateway to 129.130.39.240*
7. Add DNS servers:
   129.130.254.1
   129.130.254.2
   129.130.254.3
   129.130.254.4
   129.130.12.18 (add this last)
8. Remove unnecessary printers
9. Set the computer name (ex. H33-1263)
10. Run w:\autolog (ONLY ON SYSTEMS WITHOUT EID!)*

*If the machine is not in the library, make sure to get the right gateway and subnet from kyle.lib.ksu.edu;. Also, if the machine uses eID, don't run w:\autolog. Instead, login as 00rollout under context Users.K-STATE and reboot.

Start the policy editor by running "gpedit.msc"

www.doxdesk.com/parasite contains a script that will detect any parasitic software installed on your computer. It also provides removal instructions.

This works well on parasites like ISTbar.

Uninstall CometCursor by going to cometcursor.cometsystems.com/uninstaller_program.asp
